Dr Peter Martin

Dr. Peter Martin is a licensed psychologist and the internship director of Integrated Training and Formation at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Counseling Center. He received his Psy.D. from the Institute for the Psychological Sciences, a Catholic graduate school of psychology in Arlington, VA. He has over 14 years of diverse clinical experience, working with college students, adults, couples, and families. He specializes in integrating Christian anthropology and Catholic spirituality with evidence-based psychological interventions. He is trained in various modalities, such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Forgiveness Therapy, and Image Transformation Therapy. He also provides outreach therapy at the UNL Newman Centerand cooperates with many other doctors and specialists in the Lincoln area. He is passionate about helping his clients heal from trauma, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and relationship issues.
